About the founder
“I didn’t study branding first. I lived it.”
My father played for the Dallas Cowboys for 14 seasons, starting in 1961. From the day I was born, the Cowboys’ brand surrounded me. I wore it, was raised in it, and absorbed what it meant to represent something bigger than myself: consistency, excellence, pride. The Cowboys weren’t just a team in our house; that blue star was our family’s identity.
When my dad retired from football, our family moved to Waco, Texas, where he owned a Coors Beer distributorship. Once again, I found myself immersed in one of the most iconic consumer brands in the world.
Working summers in that business, I saw firsthand how a brand shows up in the real world: how consistency builds trust, and how the right message, delivered the right way, creates loyalty that lasts.
That conviction is why BLP exists. Most of this industry treats merch as a box to check: grab the first item on the screen, slap on a logo, and hope. That item never becomes anyone’s favorite anything, and it’s in a landfill by spring. We built BLP to do the opposite, to make merchandise people keep, wear, and are proud to own, because a brand someone wants to carry does more than any giveaway ever could. Twenty-seven years later, that’s still the whole job. The proof I’m proudest of is the clients who’ve taken us with them from one company to the next.

ATP Dallas Open Men’s Indoor Champions’ Trophy
Business Need: The Lamar Hunt Family Trophy sits alongside the AFC Championship trophy and the U.S. Open Cup as one of three major awards bearing the Hunt name. BLP designed and produced it from scratch in collaboration with the Hunt Family and the Dallas Open — a one-of-a-kind perpetual championship trophy featuring Dallas’s iconic Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge.
It’s been presented to ATP champions since 2023, and the tournament was upgraded to an ATP 500 event in 2025. Three years. Three champions. One BLP trophy.
