Highland Park Touchdown Club: $45,000 Raised in Year One for Scots Football

raised for HP Scots football in the program’s first season

of football-themed donor recognition, from 1st Down to State Champs

now live: the Touchdown Club returned for the 2026–2027 season

The Challenge

Most booster clubs know the fundraising playbook by heart: car washes, candy bars, and discount cards that ask a lot of volunteers and return a little. The Highland Park Touchdown Club wanted something different. Their goal was specific and meaningful: fund the broadcasts of Highland Park Scots football games, including playoff games, so family, friends, students, and college recruiters could watch from anywhere.

That kind of goal needed more than a bake sale. It needed a football fundraising idea that felt worthy of the program itself, one that treated supporters like donors, not customers, and gave them something premium in return. The club had the community and the passion. What it didn’t have was the infrastructure: gift sourcing, an online store, order management, decoration, and fulfillment.

That’s where BLP came in.

Our Approach

BLP designed the Touchdown Club as a complete donor recognition program built around football-themed giving tiers, from 1st Down through State Champs, each paired with a curated selection of premium gifts.

Every element was designed, sourced, and managed by BLP:

  • Tiered gift catalog featuring brand-name products supporters actually want, from custom-embroidered Scots caps to premium apparel, coolers, and an autographed helmet
  • A time-limited online pop-up store where donors selected their tier, chose their gifts, and checked out in one visit
  • Donor-facing collateral, including the gift catalog, postcard, and parent letter distributed to the HP community
  • An exclusive Touchdown Club lapel pin** recognizing every donorFull production and fulfillment**, with decorated gifts quality-checked and distributed through a donor pickup event ahead of the season

Because the HP Football Booster Club is a registered 501(c)(3), donations were tax-deductible less the fair market value of gifts received, a detail BLP helped communicate clearly in every donor touchpoint.

In its first season, the Touchdown Club raised $45,000 for Highland Park Scots football, funding live broadcasts of every game on the schedule, playoffs included.

Just as telling: the program came back. The 2nd Annual Touchdown Club launched in August 2026 with an expanded gift lineup, proof that when sports team fundraising respects donors’ generosity with a first-class experience, it becomes a tradition rather than a one-time ask.

“Bob Lilly Promotions was instrumental in helping launch our Touchdown Club initiative. It was a huge success, and I don’t think we would have gotten off the ground without the help and guidance from the BLP Team.”
